This next entry is really not all that good . I found it to be shakily written. Fred Taylor, is pulled out of his bed during a bad February blizzard ( the whole story takes place during a series of blizzards) to accompany police detective concerning a murder in an exclusive apartment building filled with celebrities and past Nobel prize winners. The murder is particularly gruesome-the man is beheaded and a picture of a tortured Christ is put in place of his head. The picture is the reason Detective Bookrajjian pulled Fred into the case.

In the meantime Clay is offered a deal of a lifetime-ninety Old Masters for an incredible amount of money. But before he can even see them he must put up a fee and Fred smells a rat.  Another murder-a shady dealer-who going around offering a Rembrandt and who is also working with Molly's sister, Ophelia-in another gruesome matter. Fred spends a lot of time walking around in the snow while the other characters move from apartment to hotel rooms back to apartments. The gist of the plot is a bit shady and far fetched so I have to rate this one a low 6.
