I particularly remember enjoying reading Dr Seuss books to my sons that I had enjoyed as a kid. Since I had boys, they weren't interested in Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, or Nancy Drew. We did read Ramona & Beezus, Mrs Piggle Wiggle, and Charlotte's Web. And we found plenty of newer books, like Celery Stalks at Midnight, Ten in a Bed, and Wayside School.

Those were fun times, and although they've changed, they continue - my sons are now in their 20s and love for me to read their favorite books, and they often read books I suggest. It's a great way to stay in touch.
