I'm halfway through Skeleton Man by Tony Hillerman. It's so hard to put down, I've been hesitant to pick it up because I don't have a big enough block of time!

Finished Bergdorf Blondes (Plum Sykes) and Tuesday's With Morrie (Mitch Albom) yesterday and have now started Oryx and Crake (Margaret Atwood).

I am reading THE SHADOW OF THE WIND, by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, and THE COMPLETE HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN FAIRY TALES, edited by Lily Owens. Oh, and I am also rereading THE LORD OF THE RINGS, by JRR Tolkien, although this one has been put on the backburner until I have finished some of the others.

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
It is for our local bookclub and it is a pretty good little read. It is about a gal who is in the process of stealing her best friends fiance'. Intriguing - The author does a great job of writing out what is in the main characters head - what she thinks to herself. |

I haven't been able to read a book for two weeks now... I have a pile of library books, but I didn't even make it to page ten of any of them. Must be the changing seasons or something - I just can't concentrate on anything.
I'm taking my grandmother to the library today, so hopefully I'll find something I can stick to. |

I borrowed Stephen King's Cell from the library yesterday, started it when I got home around lunchtime, and finished about 11.00pm. That is more reading than I have done for a long time.

I'm a fast reader, but usually I don't spend so many hours reading in one sitting. Is 400 pages short for recent Stephen King novels? It seems short to me. I remember IT being about 1000 pages, and The Stand was long too.

I haven't read a Stephen King novel yet. We might have to pick a tame one for a quarter read to get me to try it.
Often it is the size of the type on the page too that dictates how quickly I read a book. Pages can be misleading. |

I'm reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls right now. It is a memoir, and super, duper good! And I'm only on page 75 or so! I highly recommend it!

I've picked that book up a thousand times and haven't bought it yet. I know I will when I see it on sale somewhere. (Glass Castle that is...)
Currently reading CELL by Stephen King, The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares, and The Collector, by John Fowles. I'm only about 1 or 2 chapters into each right now. I know Sisterhood is a little young for my normal reads, but I seen a bit of the movie the other day and I think I'll get a kick out of the book.
