I am currently unemployed so I've been reading quite a lot. I just finished The Unbidden Truth by Kate Wilhelm. It was really good. I'm reluctantly going to read Toxic Bachelor by Danielle Steele. Only because it is all I have right now. I also belong to Literary Guild and have a few hardcovers but none of them strike my interest right now. I started Tatiana and Alexandria but it is a sequel to The Bronze Horseman and I haven't read that. The beginning refers to past experiences that obviously happened in the first book so I'm already lost. I'm going to try to get the Bronze Horseman so that it will make sense.

I finished Angel of Ruin, and started The Possibility of an Island by Michel Houellebecq. I read the first 15 pages and I'm now adding it to the "going back to the library" pile.

Last year my roommate got me into a St. Louis author named Sharon Shinn who writes fantasy novels that aren't overly fantasized...characters are still very human, and they're set in small, uncomplicated worlds. my kind of fantasy.
So I just started reading her first series about...i suppose an interpretation of the first humans on earth and their interactions with angels and god. it's very good. I finished the first one, Archangel this morning and was about to move on to the second one when I was sidetracked by Janet Evanovich's Twelve Sharp but that one is done now so back to Sharon Shinn

Hey, another Dr. Who fan.
I'm reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It's been sitting in my to-read pile for years, so I decided I'd better pick it up. I'm 100 pages in, and I love it! It's full of wonder, wit and great characterization. And I haven't even gotten to Atlantis or the sea monsters or any of the rest yet.... |
